At Maison du Rana, everything we bring to your table begins with one simple conviction: real food, made with passion and love, changes lives.
This is the story of how our La Fromagerie collection was born — not in a boardroom, not through a supplier catalogue — but through a personal journey that began right here in Oman, travelled to the highest mountain peaks of Lebanon, and found its way back to you.
A Promise to Oman's Tables
Maison du Rana was built on one belief: that the people of Oman deserve the very finest. Our clients are discerning, health-conscious, and deeply appreciative of quality — and that is exactly the standard we hold ourselves to with every single product we bring to market.
Like many of you, I had spent years navigating the world of dairy — trying product after product, always sensing that something was missing. Bloating, discomfort, digestive issues that I had simply learned to live with. I refused to accept that this was just "how it had to be."
My philosophy has always been the same: if I wouldn't serve it at my own table in Oman with pride, it has no place at yours. So my search for the finest dairy continued — quietly, persistently, with no intention of settling for anything less than extraordinary.
The Mountain That Changed Everything
Then came the discovery that changed everything.
High in the mountains of Lebanon — in one of the most elevated, most untouched regions of the country — I found a goat farm unlike anything I had encountered before. Small. Authentic. Hidden away from the noise of mass production. A place where goats roam freely, nourished by the clean mountain air and pure natural surroundings, where every drop of milk is a reflection of the land itself.
The owner, a remarkably kind and passionate man, had built something truly rare: a 100% pure French goat breed farm, producing limited quantities of genuinely organic, genuinely fresh goat milk — distributed only to a carefully selected circle of clients who truly understood and appreciated its value.
The Moment I Was Enchanted
The first time I tasted the cheese and labneh from this farm, I was completely enchanted.
The flavour was unlike anything I had experienced — pure, clean, delicately tangy, with a creaminess that felt natural rather than heavy. But what truly moved me was what happened after: the digestive problems I had struggled with for years simply disappeared.
Goat milk, by nature, is closer to human milk in its protein structure and fat composition. It is gentler, easier to digest, and naturally lower in the compounds that cause discomfort for so many people. And I thought immediately: how many families in Oman are going through the same thing? How many people have given up on dairy, not knowing that the right dairy — pure, authentic, from the right source — could make all the difference?
Bringing Lebanon's Best to Oman
I knew immediately that my clients in Oman deserved to experience this. I approached the farm owner with one heartfelt request: to allow Maison du Rana to introduce his exceptional products to our community here in Oman.
He agreed — and so began a partnership rooted not in commercial convenience, but in shared values: authenticity, quality, and a genuine love for real food.
Today, the La Fromagerie collection at Maison du Rana brings the finest goat milk cheese and labneh from the mountains of Lebanon straight to Oman — carefully selected, lovingly sourced, and offered to you with the same care and pride with which they were made. Oman is not just our market — it is our home, and our community is who we do this for.
What La Fromagerie Means to Us
La Fromagerie is not just a dairy collection. It is a promise to every family in Oman — that every product you find under the Maison du Rana name has been personally sought out, personally tasted, and personally approved by Rana herself.
Whether it is the delicate Fromage de Chèvre in its many exquisite flavours, the velvety Labneh au Lait de Chèvre, or the treasured Labneh en Bocal d'Huile d'Olive — each product carries with it the story of a mountain, a farm, and a woman in Oman who refused to settle for anything less than the very best for her table and yours.
Because at Maison du Rana, everything food is made with love — and love always finds the finest ingredients, wherever in the world they may be.
